A fine young man from our town’s Betoota Grove District is today basking in all his glory.

This comes after the graduate from South Betoota Business School just landed himself at job one of our town’s biggest finance firms.

Despite finishing somewhere in the lower middle of his cohort at our town’s sandstone institution, Alistair Worthington-Whitely has secured a much sought after job at Wharton & Wilson & Sons.

The role as a graduate finance analyst (or something like that, that is quite hard to explain to non finance people) comes off the back of the young man’s merit based relationship with his father.

His position as one of the town’s most prominent sons reportedly was a key factor in securing a job at the firm, one of whom’s partners is his dad’s good mate from school.

It’s also alleged that attending that same school was another key factor in landing the role.

The exciting new hire comes amidst a backdrop of America’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) carry on, which will inevitably flow into the Australian landscape courtesy of lazy journalists and politicians looking to score cheap points off the back of a the 24-hour news cycle and toxic platforms that generate revenue based of engagement drive by online conflict.

However, the recent exchange of contracts here in town is a sign that merit based hires a back on the agenda, with Australia getting back on track.

More to come.
