Not often does an astronomy event create such a danger to the everyday punter.

The recent Lunar eclipse seen in Western Australia has reportedly made for some total “stitch ups” around the country.

Warnings have gone out for the most common pranks.

“If a friend or co-worker offers to show you a photo they have taken of the eclipse, please proceed with caution. Chances are high that you’ll be shown a photo of an anus,” explained Dr Hershell Gravly, Betoota’s number one source for everything eclipse based.

“I heard stories of a poor young fella whose father yelled out ‘Lunar eclipse’ before showing his bare behind from the roof.”

“I don’t know why everyone reaches out to me, it seems no one really understands what ‘Lunar expert’ means, seems to be they believe I’m some sort of mooning aficionado.”

We heard directly from one of our readers that she had been fooled by a fake Twitter account.

“I thought it was NASA, their logo looked so similar. Turns out it was a clever dupe called ANAS. The video seemed normal until all of a sudden I was looking right into the abyss of someone’s undercarriage,” recounted Jasmine Hartridge of Kwinana.

In summary Dr Gravly warned people to always be ready.

“Live like I do for the next couple of days, always prepared to be shown a bumhole without warning,” he said.
