After a succesful streak of Origin wins in the post-Lockyer era, Maroons fans are now asking if Central Queensland has got anything else to offer towards this imminent State Of Origin dynasty.
With a team stacked to the gills with the likes of Cameron Munster, Daly Cherry-Evans, Ben Hunt and Harry Grant, the people of Queensland are now demanding that this humble little region hand over any more generationally talented blondies that might be hiding out in their grassroots.
Local Childers-based butcher, Blob (55) says as a Queenslander he feels it is very important that his region be honest about whether or not they have any more talent that they can share with the state.
“We, the people, demand more quiet blonde blokes from Rocky, Bundy and Gladstone,” said Blob from the back seat of a taxi he was sharing home from the pub with our reporter.
“We know they’ve got more of them, they just need to give them to us.”
Another vocal Maroons fan, Barbara (44, school- teacher, Biloela) agrees with Blob.
“We like what we see, and it’s obviously working. I would be furious to learn that any blonde athletes in Central Queensland were playing soccer or AFL.”
“We want as many Harrys and Camerons as you got.”
