One thing that never ceases to amaze me about women is how much they can whinge and complain for absolutely $0. Do you really think a wage gap would actually exist if professional angry opinions weren’t such a male dominated industry?
Well as someone who asks provocative questions like that, for an amount that would make you ashamed to share a landmass with me, I can safely say I don’t have an answer. Having one would be sexist and as we all know sexism doesn’t exist anymore.
Or does it?
This month saw the start of the “NRLW”, a sentence that makes me the first grey haired man in the media to acknowledge the competition’s existence.
But wait? Harvey, a National Rugby League for Women? But I thought we were equal? Well, that’s exactly my point dingus, we are not equal, not until the league pull their head out of their manacured arses and finally give us what we have been dutifully begging for; an NRLW for men.
I know what you’re thinking, that is my job after all, don’t we already have an NRLW for men? [Insert Aaron Woods joke] Yet in all seriousness, there is no equality like true equality and that is the one that benefits both men and women and men.
Wouldn’t it be a real step for equality if some young upcoming footy hotshot like Webke could get into the women’s Broncos starting lineup and really show the gals how men get it done? If men were allowed into the NRLW it sure would get a lot of people watching. I know I’d definitely tune into it instead of throwing the remote at the TV like I usually do when women’s sport is on.
