Men’s rights activists are in crisis today, after a stunning revelation from the other side of the world.

With 10 days of the Paris Olympics still to run, it has already been confirmed that there is a serious and concerning disparity in the Gender Medal Gap.

After Jess Fox, Grace Brown, Ariarne Titmus, Kaylee McKeown, Emma Mckeon, Meg Harris, Shayna Jack and Mollie O’Callaghan brought home Gold in their events, it’s been confirmed that the boys are seriously failing to justify their wage demands.

The subject of many heated comments sections on the internet (mostly featuring blokes who don’t seem to understand things like the concept of male dominated industries offering higher wages because of the course of the last few thousand years of history), the new developments from Paris mean the Gender Pay Gap has been overtaken by the stunning disparity between female and male athletes in the form of gold.

While male athletes still get paid way more in the majority of sports because of the century of sport has been spent commercialising men’s sport, there is a massive gap between the amount of Gold Medals our Aussie women are winning compared to our Aussie men.

The 600% gap, which could probably also be quantified as a 6,000,000% gap or a 0% gap, because a million times zero is zero, but numbers aren’t our strong suit here at the Advocate, has been confirmed after some stunning performances in the water and on the road.

“I mean, it’s undeniable data,” explained Betoota Mutual Bank’s resident headline craving Economist Brett Billson.

“You can’t argue that there isn’t a huge rift between what Gold the women earn compared to the men.”

“I think we really need to have a conversation about whether these blokes actually justify the wages they are getting.”

“It’s time we as a society have the conversation.”

More to come.
