The Prime Minister has today moved to quell the debate about the state of dental care in the country.

Speaking exclusively to The Advocate this afternoon, PM Anthony Albanese explained that ‘proof is in the pudding when it comes to dental care in Australia.’

Albanese then pointed to his shiny chompers to exemplify the fact that even South Sydney Rabbitohs fans have teeth now.

The ground breaking evidence comes after nearly a century of Bunnies fans being unable to maintain more than three or four visible teeth across their mouth.

“Mate, how can you say dental isn’t up to scratch. Look at me,” he laughed.

Albanese’s comments follow the debate flaring up again about whether the mouth should be part of the body when it comes to universal health care.

With an election looming and the Greens pushing for free dental and mental, the major parties have sought to play down the fact millions of people put off going to the dentist for years, until it gets so bad that they are admitted to hospital and cost the tax payer way more than they would have if they’d just been given proper dental care in the first place.

“If you want good dental care, you just need private health cover and a well paying job, it’s as simple as that,” said Health Minister Mark Butler.

“We don’t need to be paying everyone to have nice shiny teeth…”

More to come.
