The New York Police Department have today revealed how the man behind one of the most publicised murders in recent times was able to evade police for so long.

Speaking to The Advocate this afternoon Australian time, officer Frank Stone explained that the suspect managed to stay on the run for such a long time, with one simple hack.

“That Luigi motherfucker keep hitting us with the banana skins,” sighed the exhausted and furious Frank.

The banana skins in question are those made popular by the game Mario Kart, where contestants can throw the common item onto the track to cause their opponents to spin out.

Police have now confirmed they believe the current player Luigi, may have 3D printed a large number of banana skins to help in his escape.

“Eventually he ran out, and we got his little punk ass at a Maccy Dees in Pennsylvania,” said Officer Stone.

Frank’s comments on behalf of the NY police come after the UnitedHealthcare CEO’s killer was arrested in Pennsylvania a few hours ago, after being ratted out by a McDonalds worker.

New York police said Luigi was found with a “ghost gun”, likely produced by a 3D printer, and a silencer similar to that used to kill UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on Wednesday.

The arrest has drawn theories from all corners on whether he wanted to get caught or not, given his meticulously planned actions and escape plan (that involved back packs of monopoly money being found).

More to come.
