US singer Pink has had an unfortunate accident during her Friday night show in Brisbane, as witnesses report the singer experienced a malfunction that saw her accidentally becoming a human slingshot.
At approximately 10:15pm, a figure in lycra was seen ricocheting through the roof of the Suncorp Stadium, after the poor weather and a series of technical mistakes saw the US singer’s harness come undone in the middle of ‘So What.’
To her credit, it’s alleged Pink continued to shimmy and sing, with the haunting lyrics of ‘I’m still a rockstar’ still audible as she reached orbit.
Speaking to a SES crew member at the scene, The Advocate learns that Pink was able to land in the Brisbane River to the momentum caused by the acrobatic swing, and was able to be rescued shortly after.
Pink is reported to be in a stable condition, but has developed a respiratory illness after congesting some of the brown snake.
