Spearheaded by its rich white political and media leaders, the drop toilet known more commonly as Sydney, is up in arms about calls to move the pinnacle of rugby league up north to Brisbane.
The calls have come after NRL boss Peter V’Landys revealed the league is considering moving its Grand Final to Lang Park for the second year in a row.
Publicly, V’Landys and the NRL are claiming that they want NSW State Government funding for suburban rugby league grounds instead of the likes of Sydney Olympic Stadium – because they make for much more pleasant viewing for all involved.
However, it can be exclusively revealed by The Advocate that the main underlying reason for the move to the spiritual home of Rugby League is because Sydney is a shithole.
It’s believed the sterile nature of the overpriced city that hosts its marquee games in an awful stadium in the middle of a lifeless and inconvenient Olympic Park is a fact that has finally come back to bite Sydney Rugby League fans.
Well known to anyone who has the misfortune of having to watch a game at Sydney Olympic Stadium, the final straw for V’landys was apparently taking a single walk down Caxton Street before and after a Broncos game.
The buzz of fans and people reminded V’Landys about why sport can be such a beautiful thing, and why hosting live events in Sydney is a waste.
However, it’s believed that Sydney’s sooking will inevitably be successful, as they always find a way to get what suits the financial, political, and media elite in the Harbour city.
