In some shocking news from Australia’s political sphere, it’s been alleged that some of our politicians might be a bit loose with their lips.
This comes after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and former Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce continue to spearhead the movement to have someone cancelled.
Now days after Lidia Thorpe’s spray of some rich old bloke from England, the ‘Freedom Of Speech’ army is still attacking her for speaking freely.
Backed by media organisations that write weekly articles about ‘snowflakes getting offended because you can’t say anything these days,’ the likes of Dutton and Joyce have doubled and trebled down on their calls for someone to lose their job because they didn’t like what they said.
The latest line of attack is Thorpe being illegitimately elected and paid as a Senator because she falsely swore the oath to serve.
Thorpe claimed she only swore allegiance to the Queen’s ‘hairs’ rather than her ‘heirs’ – which Liberal Simon Birmingham now wants investigated to try and get her sacked.
Barnaby has also questioned whether she’s been paid illegitimately, like the time he was illegally elected to parliament and never paid back a cent (the Kiwi citizen stuff, not the time he had to resign as Deputy PM for rooting his staffer).
It’s now unknown how long the likes of Dutton and Joyce will continue screeching about how offended they are by someone saying something they didn’t agree with, but given the support of traditional news organisations it’s likely it will continue for some time.
More to come.
