Economists and social theorists are today eating humble pie after being destroyed by a Gold Coast man named Bevan Thomas.
After a big week of nurses and midwives campaigning to try and get paid somewhat accordingly for what they do, big Bevan has told them to suck it up.
“Mate no one’s forcing em to work as nurses,” said Bevan, who has the luxury of being of a gender where you can drop out of school in year ten and be on over 100 grand within a couple of years.
“If you don’t like it then go get a job in the mines.”
Bevan’s comments come as the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association continue to push for better pay and conditions, after seeing their 10.5% demands trumped by an easy 40% for cops (who have stood in solidarity with their fellow frontline workers and called for better pay for nurses and midwives).
While some have alleged that the pay for the cops might have something to do with it being a male dominated industry, Bevan reckons that bullshit.
Although some experts even allege women earn an average of $450,000 less over the course of their careers than men, Bevan says we need to stop buying into all this gender wars rubbish.
“It’s literally illegal to pay someone differently for the same job,” continued Bevan, who can’t seem to see that tradies, surgeons, finance guys get paid a little bit more than nurses, midwives, hair dressers and child care workers, for some weird completely inexplicable reason.
“You guys just don’t get it.”
