After a quiet week or so since crashing his car while pissed, Tim Smith MP has made a sensational return to the spotlight.

The loudmouth from Melbourne’s inner electorate of Kew has turned up on the steps of parliament house kitted out in a rather interesting get-up.

The epitome of entitlement raised eyebrows by greeting protestors today with a horned helmet, a fur hat, some Australia flag face paint, and a spear

This comes as some of society’s most disillusioned people continue to camp out the front of Melbourne’s parliament, voicing their anger at Premier Dan Andrews’ attempts to introduce a bill that will grant the government special pandemic powers.

That proposed piece of legislation has angered residents of the most locked-down city in the world, with plenty feeling like they’ve had enough of the government locking them in their homes indefinitely while the rest of the nation goes about their lives.

The nature of some of the signs and actions has raised concern that the protests could turn to physical violence in scenes similar to other parts of the world, like the storming of Capitol Hill, where the United States parliament sits.

Those concerns have heightened this evening, as a vocal member of the right-wing of politics has now actively thrown his weight behind the protests.

Yelling out at the crowd, Smith reportedly suggested that the protestors storm Parliament house and tear the proposed pandemic bill up.

Smith was then tried to encourage people to join him in marching on the police standing guard, but seemed to have little success with most people failing to get inspired by anything he said.

“Hey C’mon, we can make me Premier and I’ll give you all of your wildest dreams,” he pleaded.

“C’mon guys, please, come with me.”

More to come.
