Former Footy Show panellist and renowned loudmouth Sam Newman is being “actively investigated” by police for encouraging Melbourne residents to protest against Stage Four lockdown.
With Melbourne’s daily rates of COVID-19 cases dropping dramatically over the last fortnight, Sam Newman and his jolly gang of halfwit anti-lockdown ‘personalities’ have ramped up their white-anting of public health and safety mesures – in an attempt to remain relevant in a news cycle that has largely ignored them since the start of the pandemic – when they were making headlines describing the Victorian Premier as a ‘dictator’ for doing his best to avoid the current situation that Victorians find themselves in.
As anti-lockdown protesters clashed with police in the Melbourne on Sunday night, Newman took to Twitter to urge 250,000 of the city’s residents to take to the streets in solidarity.
“Of all the protests that we have put up with, how about 1/4 million of us gather in the CBD to take the City/State back, before EVERY previous march will have been pointless,” the concussion riddled dry-drunk tweeted last night, in an idiotic rant that has been about as well-received as his blackface routine.
“And hopefully a State day of co-ordination. Any takers. #StateofSurvival”
Victoria Police has since confirmed that they were “actively investigating those responsible for coordinating and encouraging protest activity” and anyone who still attends the CBD protest “can expect a swift and firm response from police”, who will have “no hesitation in issuing $1,652 fines to anyone breaching Chief Health Officer directions.
Sam Newman, 74, could possibly face charges for his part in organising this community of tin foil crackpots, which would be almost as satisfying as the time he was physically assaulted on the Footy Show by David “The Ox” Shwartz after a poorly received pie-in-the-face prank.
As Sam Newman and his growing community of deranged morons like Andrew Bolt and Tim Smith MP continue to peddle their entitled ‘it’s just a bad flu’ rhetoric – on the same day that the state records 44 COVID-19 deaths – the entire nation, not just Victoria, have had to once again tell this jibbering old cunt where to go.
