10,000 pairs of Etnies sneakers have been spotted marching towards Boondall tonight as Brisbane’s community of millennial Dads gear up for a big night at Blink.

After selling out shows in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney, the California rockers have touched down in Brown Snake and will be ready to entertain an excited audience of fans who remember the golden years of MySpace.

With many ex-skater Dads in the mix, the kind that used to love watching The Dudesons, it’s expected a few ass cracks and fashionable throwbacks will be spotted in the A Reserve seating.

Speaking Trent Goodes-Charlotte, the manager of the City Beach in Queen Street, the arrival of Blink has done wonders for the local surf shop economy.

“It’s been a busy week, we’ve been able to dust off all the old outlet stuff we stock in the warehouse, and sell it at full price,” Trent told our reporter.

“Checkerboard belts, three-quarter Dickies shorts and Etnies Kingpin sneakers, they’ve been selling faster than you can say ‘Dammit!”

Playing three shows in Brisbane, before making their return back to Sydney, local Dad’s have said this Blink tour is their version of the Taylor Swift circus that’s swept the country.

“It’d be cool if they did an Era’s thing, start off with Dude Ranch and Enema of the State, blast the hits on the Untitled album, skip most of California and then wrap it up with the new stuff,” Wynnum father of two Brent Boyd told The Advocate.

“I’m just looking forward to a night off from watching Bluey if I’m honest, me and the boys might even swing back into the city for some Jägerbombs at The Triffid just for old times sake.”

More to come.
