Former NSW deputy premier John Barilaro has finally landed on a plausible excuse as to why he was in an Origin style blue with a photographer in the north Sydney suburb of Manly.
After denying he manhandled the man he was seen manhandling on camera, Barilaro stated he is tired of being treated like a criminal whether it be on The Corso or when taking up a New York trade gig with a half a million dollar salary.
However, the former deputy premier has put his hand up to say that the aggressive incident is the result of the stress caused by his previous career in public office and all the accusations of misconduct he has faced as a result of his time as a public servant
“All of you talking about the $905,000 fit out of my New York office that I never got to even drink a regular cup of cawfee in,” stated Barilaro, saying coffee with a New Yorker style hard ‘a’ for some reason.
“It’s not what I’m about, I’m a private citizen. Private citizens should not be scrutinised for everything they did as a public figure who worked as a public servant, spending public money, in public office.”
Barilaro’s endless scrutiny ranges from his recent failed appointment as a US Trade job of his own design in New York, to misuse of power to intimidate journalists which has this channel country journo shaking in his limited edition Dune Rats volleys.
