Barnaby Joyce has today shocked the nation by heading in to work for a big day of getting as much done as he can for the good of the people he is actually supposed to represent.
As the current Special Envoy on the drought and representative for the drought and fire-ravaged electorate of New England, Joyce is currently employed to advocate for those he represents and paid handsomely to try and make their lives better.
So, his decision to come into work this morning with the desire to actually work on meaningful policy in an attempt to bring about short and long term benefits for regional Australians has been applauded by the nation.
“It’s really great to see that he’s not tirelessly agitating within the National Party to get his old job back in a vain and egotistical pursuit for power that will inevitably end in fucking tears again,” said struggling Northern Tablelands farmer Bill O’Reilly today.
“I mean, I was really worried when he pushed for a spill into the Nationals Leadership the other day given his colourful last couple of years and his history of running his mouth on big issues whenever he feels like he’s not getting as much attention as he wants.”
“So I’m glad to see he’s actually realised that he’s in parliament to work on policy and real change not to stroke his own ego and try and put another couple of inches on his dick by rolling Michael McCormack.”
“Hopefully he works on some drought policy while he’s there, seeing as he’s the special envoy on that.”
