The American pop singer known as ‘Beyoncè’ has made history as the first black woman to headline Coachella in a performance that included a surprise appearance from her husband, sister and other close friends.
Namely, one of the judges from The Voice Australia, who has been apparently been friends with Beyoncè Knowles for many years.
The judge, who’s real name and stage name is Kelly Rowland, arrived with another close childhood friend by the name of Michelle Williams as they joined Beyoncè in singing her breakout rnb anthem ‘Say My Name’ during the two-hour set in Indio, California, where the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is held each year.
It is believed that a panicked Channel 9 has already sent lawyers to the festival site in the American west coast, in an attempt to prevent any further performances by the trio that may affect Rowland’s contractual obligations to the popular Australian reality television program.
“We’ve already lost the cricket. We aren’t losing our judging panel on The Voice” said a spokesperson for Channel 9.
“You know the one we are talking about right. The female judge. Not Delta, the American one”
“We can’t afford to fill another spinny chair”
“Who would we put in there anyway? Pink?”
It is not yet known how close the prominent Australian reality TV star actually is with Beyonce – but the choreography and harmonising would suggest they have performed together before.
Beyonce is due to return for her second performance this weekend, with the festival due to wrap up on Sunday
