Campfire dwellers were stunned by the obvious revelation that the
guy with a Smile sticker on his acoustic guitar reckons he’s opened
for John Butler at some point.

Alleged musician Owen ‘Ohm’ Christianson (34) describes himself as
a full-time gipsy and citizen of the world despite the fact most of
his travelling takes place between Byron Bay and his parents home
in Port Macquarie.

One adventure he details was a time he was asked to open for folk
musician John Butler for a few shows in south-east
Australia.

“Yeah he saw me busking and we got to talking,” Christianson said
in a statement that was maybe 40% true.

Other details of his life that listeners were not even slightly
startled to learn was that he once wore feathers in his hair, has
eaten at every Lentil As Anything restaurant and the assertion he
only plays his original music but has lots of good song choices for
when he eventually gets asked to do Like A Version.

Despite doing a better job than the campfire smoke at glazing over
the eyes of everyone listening, speaking exclusively with
The Advocate
Christianson revealed he cannot say with absolute certainty that he
really did open for John Butler.

“I opened for a white guy with dreads, I know that much. I was on a
lot of mushies.”

“He did the slappy thing with the guitar, it was probably John
Butler. I just call him John though, because I know
him.”
