A bald labourer with faded tatts and long whispy red goatee has taken offence today at the fact that another labour hire company has sent a few blokes to work alongside him and his boys.
Shane (47) says he wouldn’t be surprised if he’s getting ripped off, given their unwillingness to tell a complete stranger how much they get paid.
The initial upset appears to have been triggered by the fact that these other blokes are being delegated tasks before him, and in turn becoming his point of call working on this relatively small-sized construction project for a government client
“Who died and made them in charge, cunt” he sprays to one of the younger blokes working alongside him.
The fact that some of the rival labourers aren’t interested in talking shit with him at smoko has also add fuel to his growing dislike for them and their company.
“Fuck me. I’d like to know what these blokes are being paid” he says, suggesting that the reason they are working harder is because they might be on one of those rare labour hire contracts that brings in 4-5 dollars more than he makes per hour.
