Bryan Masters has opened up to The Advocate today about the current battle he is facing as a father.

The 43-year-old father of two spoke to us about the recent fad that has taken over his young son’s life, Fortnite.

“It’s unbelievable. All my mates kids are playing it too. Why can’t they get addicted to something bloody decent like Rugby League, full strength piss, or the pokies,” he said.

Fortnite, a multiplayer shooting game which boasts over 125 million active players worldwide has raised the concerns of many parents around the country who have seen their kids become addicted to the game.

“Round the clock. He is playing it constantly. He and the other kids on the street should be going out and hitting each other with sticks, throwing rocks at each other or setting something on fire as we used to do as kids?” Masters said.

“I’ve taken him down the Railway a couple of times to play some real games, and he’s not in the slightest bit interested.”

Masters explained that both times he has given his young son a schooner of coke and a lobster to play with.

“And he gets like 5 bucks in and just says he is bored and can we go home,” the father said while shaking his head.

“World’s gone mad. I don’t know what’s going to happen to this next generation.”
