As if having his penalty rates slashed last year by Pauline Hanson and Scott Morrison wasn’t enough, one central Queensland hospitality worker has today copped the full wrath of extreme right-wing politics.
Mick Dametto, a local barista/waiter and part-time juniors soccer coach says he hasn’t been following politics that closely of late, and the last he heard about Senator Fraser Anning was that One Nation had cut ties with him.
“Turns out you can still be a Senator even if only 19 people voted for you and you are only in the upper house because someone who got a few more votes turned out to be a Welsh citizen via British India, and you moved up into their spot” he says.
“I thought [Anning] was only a senator for a day before he decided to leave One Nation, but it turns out you can remain in the senate as an independent even after leaving the political party that put you there”
“I didn’t even know he was still a senator, let alone the fact that he joined Bob Katter’s party and was sacked three weeks later for his non-stop use of anti-semitic terminology we haven’t heard in public office since the Holocaust”
However, as Mick learnt the hard way today, Senator Anning is still very much a Senator. And he’s on $200k a year, surrounded by a mob of Melbourne’s finest Neo-Nazis to protect him.
“He was ordering breakfast. I was just doing what I am required to do” says the injured hospo.
“I asked him how he’d like his eggs”
Before he knew it, Dametto was lying on his back, and nearly choked into submission by five sexually frustrated steroid users who lack father figures.
One of them even kicked him while he was down.
Dametto says it felt a little bit excessive, given his size.
“Anning took the first swing now that I think of it. And the second. That was after he briefly sized me up and down and realised I was a bit smaller than him”
“I shouldn’t have brought up eggs.” admits the waiter.
“I now know it must be a sore spot, you know after being humiliated in front of the world by a teenager”
