Earlier today, local florist Claudia Virgona (23) visited her grandpa John Virgona (82) who she was surprised to learn has an iPad for some reason.
According to Claudia, her grandpa was very excited to show her some photos on his “tablet pad” of a christening that she herself also attended earlier this month.
“Have a look at this one,” said pop, holding the iPad horizontally to display a portrait image.
“Wait. Hang on, what have I done here?”
Despite offering to help her grandpa get back to the tab he was on, Claudia was then forced to watch as her grandpa tried to use four fingers at once to navigate his iPad, accidentally adjusting the screen brightness and changing the language to ‘English (US)’ as he went.
“Gah! You see this is the problem with technology!”
Although he operates it with the grace of sugar glider in a sandstorm, John claims he loves his iPad even if he can’t clip it into the case properly because he’s worried it will break it.
“It’s amazing. You can get the news on these you know?”
After giving up on finding the photos he wanted to show grand-daughter Claudia, Giuseppe Virgona decided to video chat with Claudia’s mum for a laugh but instead spent the whole conversation asking Claudia’s mum why he couldn’t hear her.
