Local Christian Ol’ Jack (68) says he didn’t know you needed to run down gay people to get any help from the many philanthropic Christians out there.
The former serviceman says if he knew that telling gay people that they were going to hell would land him $300k in half a day, he’d almost consider it.
But he’s not going to do that because he was taught to love they neighbour by a chaplain who doesn’t use instagram to spread his good word.
This comes as recently fired Wallaby Israel Folau reaches ten percent of his target fundraising goal, after launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise $3 million to fight Rugby Australia (RA) over the termination of his contract.
After playing both NRL and AFL professional, Folau’s rugby union contract was discontinued in April over his controversial social media posts in which he posted that homosexuals, among others, would go to hell unless they repented.
Folau, a staunch Pentecostal Christian who converted from the Mormon church around about the time where most young men would have to sacrifice a year to go on missionary service, has today taken part in the age old Christian tradition of crowd-funding his own salary.
However, when it comes to the homeless Christian currently sleeping rough in an inner-city Betoota industrial district – it seems that the only reason he’s not receiving any help from his religious brethren is that he is too nice.
“It’s alright” he says.
“Pauline has said she’s gonna put me before everyone else”
“I don’t need to rely on organised religion when the Federal politicians are promising to help me out”
