Peter Dutton has criticised the embattled Construction, Forestry and Maritime Employees Union (CFMEU) as he ramps up the union bashing ahead of the 2025 Federal Election.

While speaking at the Victorian Liberal state council on Saturday, Dutton attacked the Albanese government’s for being blind to the alleged misconduct of the CFMEU, accusing the prime minister of turning a blind eye to criminality.

Dutton was quick to regurgitate the talking points of the 60 Minutes investigation into the CFMEU, boldly claiming that the only way that blue collar workers could possibly be paid wages that compete with the current cost of living crisis is if bikie standover men were involved in negotiating contracts with the billionaire property developers that donate handsomely to the Liberal Party in exchange for political protection.

Dutton has said that Australians have known about the union’s alleged links to bikies for more than a decade and claimed that all of these tradies getting around in new Ford Raptors was un-Australian.

But it gets worse, not only is Australia’s most powerful trade union linked with outlaw motorcycle gangs – but Dutton says there’s also now irrefutable evidence of the CFMEU’s ties to The River Boys.

The River Boys are a criminal gang from the notorious NSW town of Mangrove River, who were recognised as Sydney’s ‘Head Of The Snake’ in organised crime from 2011 until 2016.

The gang was originally led by Darryl ‘Brax’ Braxton, who was supported by his three brothers Heath, Casey and Kyle. The group are involved in several acts of violence as well as involvement in drugs, vice and other nefarious activities.

While many thought the Rivers Boys had settled down into a quieter life in the Northern Beaches town of Summer Bay – it is believed that the gang is back in 2024.

Peter Dutton says his friends in the Australian media have told him that several high-ranking members of the CFMEU have been spotted with the River Boys’ distinctive ‘Blood and Sand’ tattoos.

“We need a Royal Comission into the CFMEU’s links with the River Boys” said Dutton.

“Labor has been harbouring criminals within their ranks. Brax is a card carrying Labor operative!”
