North Korean media has today reported an incredible upset in the Australian Open men’s final last night.
Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea took the match out against tennis great Roger Federer in a convincing fashion to claim his 10th consecutive Australian open title in as many years.
It was the shortest final in Australian Open history as the self-described “Pocket Rocket From Pyongyang” wiped the floor 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.
Both men were hoping for fairytale victories last night, with the Swiss maestro chasing a record-breaking Grand Slam Men’s Singles Titles. Kim Jong, a pioneering conquest of tennis’ highest peak by a world leader.
Of course, one man was always going to be left shattered.
To the surprise of many pundits, it was the greatest male player from the recent era.
Kim Jong-un told the crowd after the game that the victory was sweet, but wouldn’t be as sweet as taking out the US Open in front of Donald Trump later this year.
“Yes, winning is great,” he told Basil Zempilas in a post-match interview.
“But now I have my sights set on Flushing Meadows. I can’t wait to take that title in front of that little orange President of the US.”
