In a rare example of a win for the good guys, local sports marketing professional, Leon Kingi has made it clear that he will not be pushed around by steroid-abusing rent-a-cops.
The 31-year-old father of three has since become somewhat of a local hero after a night out at the infamous Saturn’s Casino, in Betoota’s Roma Hills.
What started as an open bar work event with some clients, ended up at the Sinner’s SportsBar deep within the iconic Western Queensland gambling institution – after the state lock-out laws prevented Leon and his colleagues from continuing their impulsive night out in a nicer venue near their homes.
After receiving a couple warnings for having his phone out while near the tables, Leon says he was already on thin ice when a client that he was entertaining for the night accidentally dropped a glass.
It was at that point that the venue’s overzealous security guards decided it was time to ruin someone’s night, and that that someone was going to be Leon.
“That’s it mate, you’ve had enough” said a bold 20-year-old bouncer, after double-checking how much back-up he had in the immediate vicinity.
The client, who was initially apologising on Leon’s behalf, quickly quietened down as the former club rugby hero stood his ground.
“Nah. I’m all good” said Leon.
The steroid-fuelled rage that lays latent inside every bouncer in the developed world begin to twitch, as the inferior-sized seccie began to feel himself being out-alpha’d by a 6-foot-five Samoan Kiwi with just as little de-escalation skills.
“We can do this the easy way or the hard way” said the rattled bouncer, nodding to his mates.
In a bold move that drew cheers from the growing crowd of bystanders, Leon took it upon himself to give the bouncer the middle finger and telling him to go and fuck himself.
At time of press, Leon was being ‘Superman’d’ down the front escalator with not one limb touching the ground, as all 130 kilograms of him were horizontally escorted from the venue by a cyclone of sleeve tattoos and spiky haircuts.
