A local man has transcended through the laws of quantum physics and found himself teleported to the year 2006 after hearing the distinctive sound of a Nerf Vortex whistle overhead.
The miraculous event occurred earlier today when Kieran Doyle (36) went down to his local beach.
While tanning on the sand, Kieran witnessed what he thought was a bird, but within seconds, a distinct whistling sound could be heard as the object soared through the sky.
Suddenly, the 36-year-old found himself floating through the 4th dimension, like that scene in Interstellar.
Kieran quickly snapped out of it and put the bizarre moment down to some light sunstroke.
Upon getting up to put on some sunscreen, the realities of what had just happened finally became clear.
“I think the sound of the Nerf Vortex whistle had teleported me back to 2006,” Kieran explained.
Kieran was stunned to look around the beach only to see a group of kids teaching themselves how to do the Crank That Soulja Boy dance.
In front of him was a pair of girls talking about whether this whole iPhone thing is all hype, and right in front of him were half a dozen Nerf Vortexes flying through the air.
“I was speechless, and also scared. What does this mean? Is my 18-year-old self somewhere in this world? How am I going to get back to 2024?” Kieran explained.
Despite the concerns, Kieran thought he’d make the most of this fracture in time and space and explore the beach a little.
As Kieran explored the beach, he could hear the faint sounds of US synth-pop band MGMT in the background. He was relieved that his usual lazy fashion choice of boardies and thongs to the beach was totally at the forefront of style in this world, although he was suddenly wearing a ‘metrosexual’ fluro pink v-neck.
Kieran reported that it was around this time that he found himself back in the 4th dimension and back on the beach in 2024—still questioning if that Nerf Vortex whistle phenomenon actually happened or not, or was he just doing heaps of pingers back then.
