The man hoping to be the next Prime Minister of the county has today let that famous temper of his get away from him, after some rather unwelcome news.

Peter Dutton MP has unleashed swinging hands and flying kicks on the furniture of his North Brisbane electoral office today after the Reserve Bank Governor confirmed that she and the board would be lowering the cash rate.

While a welcome boost to mortgage holders and renters who pay other people’s mortgages, the news has come as a blow to Dutton, who was hoping to ride a wave of doom and gloom to the 2025 election.

In fact, Peter Dutton may be the only person in the North Brisbane mortgage belt to have an issue with this news, as the Albanese Government is now able to campaign on the fact that upward trajectory in interest rates began under the previous government – and have only been cut for the first time in four years under the current government.

Liberal insiders says that Dutton is furious about the possibility of Australians having a little bit more room to move economically, and had hoped the unbridled misery that followed the pandemic kept up until election day.

However, with both wages and inflation being driven down, the Albanese government can now paint Dutton has a potential risk. Which means the Liberal Opposition will need to campaign solely on the fact that he refuses to stand in front of an Aboriginal flag.

But sources close to the Opposition leader say that’s not all he’s got in the tool belt, and that he will gladly begin talking about nothing but African gangs in Melbourne.

Or even better, Aboriginal gangs who are LGBTI Muslims!
