Prime Minister Scott Morrison is officially out of control when it comes to telling porky pies this afternoon.
That’s according to his increasingly nervous media advisors, who are watching a man descend into a web of lies that even he can’t keep up with.
In the wake of his growing reputation as ‘The Liar From The Shire’ – this morning, Scott Morrison was asked directly by 3AW radio host Neil Mitchell if he had ever told a lie in public life.
“I don’t believe I have, no. No,” Mr Morrison replied.
Even Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has struggled to back this bold claim by Scotty. When asked by reporters in Canberra today if his Prime Minister had ever lied in public life, Mr Joyce conceded he probably had.
However, the increasing damage to his reputation as a world leader has not stopped Scott Morrison from telling Sky News one of the most blatant lies to ever come out of his mouth.
Speaking to one of those Paul Murrays or Credlins, or some other underwhelming conservative commentator on Murdoch’s propaganda channel, Scott Morrison said he blames his reputation as a dishonest man on the Labor party.
“I see Anthony Albanese and a number of others in having a crack at me as well. I mean, that‘s up for him,” Mr Morrison said.
“But I won’t shy away from a fight”
“Ya know I used to be pretty handy in a scrap myself back in the day”
As the sycophantic TV host began giggling, Scotty couldn’t help but throwing a bit of GST on his mythologised past.
“Ya know… ” said Scotty.
“I once had a run-in with Jeff Fenech in the Cross back in the day”
“REALLY haha?” asked the host.
“Haha. Yeah” replied the Liar from the Shire.
“Landed a few on him too. Put him on his arse”
The interview then went silent, as even the most brain-numb NewsCorp puppet struggled to accept Scotty’s blatantly tall story.
“Yeah.. Scott. I don’t know about that hey” said the host.
“Are you sure? Are we talking about the same Jeff Fenech?”
Scotty immediately switches into damage control after being called out for another yarn with mayo.
“Jeff who?” asks Scotty.
“Jeff Fenech. The boxer. The bloke you just said you knocked out”
Morrison scowls.
“That is a LABOR LIE”
“I never said that!”
