The iconic Caxton Hotel in Brisbane’s rugby league district is under fire today for doing what every self-respecting Queenslanders would do.

Queensland Police are investigating the Caxton Hotel for its potential involvement in concealing Brisbane Bronco’s legend Allan ‘Alfie’ Langer’s birthday function, which saw him violating the NRL COVID-bubble and rendered him out of action for the next fortnight in his role as a trainer for his former club.

The entire state of Queensland are today laughing in the face of the police and the elitist Southern media, who are acting shocked at the idea of the most iconic Broncos pub going out of their way to protect the Broncos royalty.

The Betoota Advocate understands the hotel is accused of switching off the CCTV cameras and ID scanners during the hours that Mr Langer and two other Brisbane Broncos staff members were on the premises, like that would be the first time a Queensland pub ever extended that kind of hospitality to the greatest halfback to ever live.

Such actions would put the pub in breach of its license, resulting in potential fines.

However, these repercussions are a small price to pay to ensure the wellbeing and quenched thirst of a multi-premiership-and-Origin winning legend, who probably wasn’t paying for beers either.

At time of press, there was some even bigger news coming out of Brisbane.

Really bad news by the looks of it.

MORE TO COME.
