Refugees and immigrants arriving at U.S. airports are being detained or told they can’t enter the country following an executive order which President Trump signed Friday afternoon.
The order bans Syrian refugee resettlement in the U.S. indefinitely. It has also shut down the entire refugee program for 120 days and bans all immigrants and visitors from seven Muslim-majority countries ― Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen ― from entering the U.S. for at least 90 days.
This has created chaos in many relatively important industries, that require highly educated people – that might or might not have been born in America – to travel a lot.
Hospitals and tech companies are worrying today, as a number of their employees remain stuck in airports around the country.
This comes as an obese, undereducated Idahoan man tries his hand at open heart surgery this afternoon, in place of a highly qualified Muslim doctor who is not being allowed back in to the country.
“It’s not that bigga deal” says Trump voter, Bruce Mellencamp (35).
“These people have been taking our jobs for years. It’s time we took them back” he proudly declares, while putting on his hair-net and rubber gloves in preparation for the operating theatre.
“Sure, I’ve never performed open heart surgery before, but if these people that can’t even speak good English can do it, how hard can it be”
“These are American jobs. They belong to American people. So that when this person wakes up from surgery, she’ll be able to know just how American her surgeon was”
