The man responsible for one of the earliest outbreaks of COVID-19 in Queensland has once again offered his opinion on what he believes to be Labor’s excessive measures aimed at stopping the spread of coronavirus in the Sunshine state.

Peter Dutton MP, the Home Affairs Minister has piped up again recently after being informed by a NSW inquiry into the Ruby Princess that he is not going to jail for criminal negligence.

This time, he is criticising Queensland Labor for keeping the state borders shut in an effort to stop COVID-19 from spreading into old peoples homes like it did when the Border Force allowed a cruise ship full of infected baby boomers to unload in the centre of Australia’s most populated city.

Speaking on 2GB radio, which is one of the only media outlets that he feels comfortable speaking to with the assurance that he won’t be made to look like the same halfwit who was bullied out of the Queensland police, Mr Dutton said the State Government was keeping border restrictions in place as a strategy in the lead-up to the state election.

These comments are surprising, considering Dutton’s role in bring COVID-19 back to Australia in the first place after meeting with Ivanka Trump at the White House in early march.

Mr Dutton was admitted to a Brisbane hospital on Friday March 13 with a confirmed case of COVID-19, prompting questions about the length of time he had known about his symptoms before seeking a test.

Up to two of his fellow business class passengers on the second leg of his flight also tested positive to the Dutton strain, as well as an airtasker who he had hired to work on his property while awaiting test results on the Thursday.

The Brisbane handyman who was in contact with Peter Dutton less than 24 hours before the Home Affairs Minister tested positive said the possibility of the politician having symptoms without disclosing them was “quite disappointing, especially for someone in his position”.

Mr Johns completed a job that any normal man of the house should be capable of doing themselves at the Dutton family home on Thursday evening before the Queensland MP revealed his diagnosis the following day.

The tradesman was then forced into isolation in his North Brisbane unit for 14 days with his wife and young child.

However, with these shocking public health errors in the rear view and the terrifying possibility of having to admit that the state governments have had to pick up the slack for the underwhelming Federal Cabinet – Dutton has piped up again to criticise Premier Palaszczuk’s decision to not allow any more dumb cunts up North with those same symptoms.

Much like his two challenges for Liberal Party leadership, Peter Dutton’s most recent comments have been met with an underwhelming response from his apparent supporters.

MORE TO COME.
