A clueless bloke from Betoota Heights has unknowingly committed quite a serious dating faux pas this weekend, which has left his date grappling with an ick she’s not sure she can get past, it’s reported.
Having organised a cute first date within just days of matching on Hinge, Adrian Holt, 29, was off to a stellar start when he met marketing consultant Melanie Stewart for dinner at a restaurant in the French Quarter, even going the extra mile to enquire her taste in wine beforehand, and having a bottle of it ready and waiting for when she got there.
However, after arriving a little early, Adrian unfortunately made the mistake of making himself comfortable in the booth side of the table – leaving Melanie with no other option but to choose the rickety wooden backed chair.
Speaking to The Advocate, Melanie admits she now has an unresolvable ick.
“I don’t know, I feel like it’s just an unspoken rule? Girls get the booth seat.”
“Like it’s just nice, you know?”
