The furnishings of a Gold Coast motor inn have become the central gag of 100 jokes today as a bucks group rolls in for a weekend of carnage on the glitter strip.

After getting off Jetstar flight DA890 to Coolangatta, eight members of the Betoota Mutts third grade Rugby team checked into the Mermaid Springs Motor Inn, just outside of the thriving hub of Surfers Paradise.

Dropping off their gym bags which were packed with loud party shirts, vapes and a nurse outfit for the Buck, it didn’t take long before an awkwardly bright red chair in the corner of the room to become the butt of every joke for the weekend.

“Boiz check out the cuck chair!” cackled Travis Kinky-Hips, the groomsman who’d booked the rooms at the $103 a night establishment.

“Sluggo, I think I’ve found you a spare bed!” cracked another mate, while taking a slash with the door open.

Standing around to admire the gorgeous red pleather chair, which was completely at odds with the rest of the grey IKEA decor in the room, the sight of the furniture that probably belongs in a low grade Eastern European porn film inspired the boys to crack into the first case of Stone & Woods for the weekend.

“Last bloke back in the rooms tonight has to sleep on that thing!” giggled Travis, as he loaded the tiny bar fridge with two six packs and rammed a bottle of Jägermeister into the tiny freezer section.

“I think it’ll come in handy when you know who arrives for the private show tonight,” he mused, nudging his offsider Duncan who’d booked entertainment for the weekend.

“Surely she can include that thing in her routine!”

More to come.
