A bushie in the big smoke for the weekend, Trent Walker (29) has shocked onlookers by revealing his deep-seated fear of free kimchi at a local Korean BBQ joint, despite displaying a remarkable bravado when it comes to doing things that would petrify most civilized people like picking up a lizard with his bare hands.
Witnesses claim when faced with the prospect of sampling the complimentary kimchi offered at an inner city Korean BBQ restaurant, Trent’s usual courage for all things adventure suddenly evaporated, replaced by an anxious caution.
“Mate, what even is that slimy kimchi stuff? never seen that before” confessed Trent, his voice trembling slightly.
“Does anyone even know how they make it?”
Despite a country life of wrangling live animals and other things that no city slicker would dream of, Trent couldn’t muster the nerve to take a single bite of the pungent Korean delicacy, opting instead to stick with the tried-and-true grilled meat.
