A local woman has today walked away from the Betoota Heights DFO with her head held high, after bagging an absolute bargain.
The purchase, a puffer jacket from last season, marked down from $249.99 to the unbeatable price of $237.99.
Maddie Gomez (34) looked thrilled with her purchase.
“I mean you really can’t find a piece like this in regular shopping centres, it’s timeless and the cost per well will practically be zero” Maddie beamed.
However, securing the jacket was no easy task. After navigating the Saturday morning traffic on the Betoota Highway she had to circle the car park for 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Stepping into DFO, Maddie was greeted with a fluorescent-lit vortex of chaos, complete with crying children and a scant food court consisting only of Subway, a sushi place, and a Lindt café.
“That’s when I saw it” Maddie exclaimed.
“A jacket that was technically cheaper than the recommended retail price, in this economy. I’d be losing money if I didn’t get it.”
Proud of her purchase, Maddie continued her DFO shopping spree, bagging a pair of Nike runners, a pack of Bonds socks, and a Sheridan towel she only later discovered was the same price as in-store.
