Like many twenty somethings who have no hope of getting a house the regular way, local finance bro Alan Fletcher has gotten really into saving or magically quadrupling money where he can – all in the hope of landing that elusive large sum.
This quest to become a millionaire overnight has seen Alan obsessively checking his crypto wallet multiple times a day and jumping onto anything else that might get him ahead, like cashback apps, alternative rideshares and meal deals.
The new habit has been something he’s sure to harp on about whenever someone is within earshot.
“You’ve gotta save everywhere you can dude”, says Alan, spruiking his latest app discovery.
“The Cheddar app bro, get around it, I got like $100 cashback on my new MJ Bale suit which I’m putting straight back into bitcoin’.”

“The little things my bro, they all add up,” he laughed.
One of his mates said that the new app plugging has made a nice change from hearing about the merits of skipping a morning takeaway coffee and putting every spare cent into his portfolio.
A friend told The Advocate that Alan may have done reasonably well if he hadn’t consorted to strangers on the internet for inside tips, resulting in a portfolio that was a little too diversified.
Alan hasn’t had that much luck making any profit but that won’t stop him from trying. Especially, as according to his knowledge, statistically he’s due for a win soon.
But now that Alan has his money tied up in a few things, he’s had to scrimp some more money together before he can blow it all again, resulting in him now becoming a financial advisor to his mates with money saving tips that would make his nonna proud.
“Everything counts dude, I plan on living off multiple streams of passive income by the time I’m 30.”
“Little things like shopping on the Cheddar app will help,” he finished.
