A former party boy has been forced to have an honest chat this morning, after a routine school drop off inspired some curly questions.
Driving to school in his Hyundai Santa Fe, it’s reported former pinger rat, Dillon Cox, was forced to answer some questions coming from the back seat of the vehicle, after his two kids Kygo (7) and Tiësto (9) noticed their names plastered on some bill posters around town.
Scooting past the abandoned milk bar on Berrigan Street, it’s understood Dillon’s children noticed some ads for Palm Tree Music festival, an international dance event that’s touring Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane next year.
“Daaaad, why are our names on those posters?”, started Tiësto, as he stuffed a fruit rollup into his gob for breakfast.
“Yeah and mine too!” squealed Kygo, pointing his chubby finger out of the car.
Blinded by the sight of the names of musical artists on a poster that he actually knew, Dillon began fondly recalling his days as a gym short wearing festival bro, the kind that went to three consecutive years of Stereosonic at the Brisbane showgrounds.
“So uhhh, back in the day your Dad used to be really into music,” started Dillon rather sheepishly.
“And you know your Godfather Jax that comes round for BBQ’s every Sunday, he used to love dance music too!”
Staring longingly into the blue Betoota skies, Dillon decided it was time to give his kids a little bit more info about how they came about, minus some small details about the three pressed pills that were also involved on that day.
“Yeah I used to go to big festivals all the time, in fact that’s where I met your mother, I met her in the summer…”
