A local concrete cowgirl is rearranging her wardrobe this afternoon as she desperately attempts to find space for a knee-high pair of cowboy boots she picked up from Temu.

Sitting amongst piles of heels, pumps, runners and several pairs of Adidas Sambas in different colourways, a 26 year-old-old nursing student Gemma Cassowary is trying to figure out how she can store all her footwear in her clothes cupboard, without needing to invest in any offsite storage.

And after country megastar Luke Combs played a run of shows in Brisbane the other week, Gemma’s had to weigh up whether her new single-use plastic boots are worth keeping around for another rodeo.

“To be honest I was going to throw them up on Depop or marketplace, they’re not the kind of thing I can wear to the hospital,” Gemma told our reporter.

“But they were $60 plus shipping, and I’d hate to see all this faux leather go to waste.”

But with news that Queen B Beyonce might finally be leaving her northern hemisphere bubble to bring her Cowboy Carter tour down under, Gemma says the boots are worth holding onto.

“If Queen B announces a tour, I’ll be needing them for sure.”

“As long as she doesn’t ignore Queensland like TayTay did and just play Sydney and Melbourne.”

“Beyonce at Suncorp, now that’s a concert!”
