A Senior PR consultant has spoken to The Advocate today, highlighting why she loves coming into the office on Fridays.
As a trailblazing public relations professional working for one of Betoota’s up and coming agencies, local girl Sara Peters (28) has the luxury of choosing where she works, as long as she manages to keep up to date with her inbox.
However, off the back of a recent company wide mandate which stipulate she must be in the office a minimum two days a week, including a compulsory Thursday, Sara has told our reporter why she’s chosen Fridays as her day to turn up and use the company photocopier to print off some wedding invitations.
“I love coming in on Fridays, I just get so much done!,” Sara told our reporter whilst running three monitors bursting with Google chrome tabs related to her upcoming wedding.
“It’s quiet and I can get in and do what I need to do!”
Parked up at her desk at Prosecco & Pop Collective, a PR firm that runs out of the old Yahoo! office in downtown Betoota, Sara admitted that the lack of people around looking over her shoulder really helped her manage her to-do list.
Looking around at the rows of empty desks, Sara said she was glad to see her day in the office was only going to be shared with Jarrod from IT, who has to be on call near the servers in case someone forgets their password.
“It’s so easy to get distracted when everyone is in here, I can fully focus,” Sara said, as she played with the font size on some wedding invitations she was mucking around with on Canva.
“It’s just a productive way to end the week!”
