In a display of unwavering enthusiasm and a commitment to celebrating a multicultural Australia, Tristan Johnson (28) is eagerly anticipating his annual pilgrimage to the distant western suburbs, as the highly anticipated Ramadan Night Markets kick off for another year.
“I just love soaking up the vibrant atmosphere and sampling all the delicious food,” Tristan confessed, his eyes gleaming with all the Instagram stories he’s going to farm from this outing.
“It’s like going to a completely different country without ever leaving the city.”
While Tristan is extremely proud to broadcast his adventurous side to anyone that will listen, he does admit that the last time he was anywhere near one of these suburbs was this time last year.
“Yeah y’know, I’ve been a bit busy, I do love the diversity of coarse, but the Moroccan spot next to mine usually does the trick most of the time.” He explained.
As Johnson eagerly counts down the days until his annual pilgrimage, local residents have mixed feelings about the influx of urbanites descending upon their communities.
“It’s great for business but please can you try something other than the camel burger for once.” One local said.
