In breaking local news, a former Stereo-bro is laying his love for EDM to rest this weekend as he begins to enjoy the finer things in life.

Tristyn Harris (32) was up until last year one of the few males in Betoota that still blasted Skitz Mix playlists from his Subaru WRX as he hooned downtown to get some groceries.

A lover of anything pulsating and electric, like the fast and furious beats of HeadHunterz to the poppy euro summer sounds of Calvin Harris, innocent bystanders would usually have described Tristyn’s taste in music as “pretty hectic”.

But after selling off his WRX last year to make room for an Izuzu DMax, Tristyn has slowly started to change his music taste to mirror his new weekend hobbies which include camping, fishing and soaking up the great outdoors.

Having installed a hard shell rooftop tent on his dual cab ute and become familiar with some local camping spots to enjoy a few fireside beers, Tristyn admitted to The Advocate he’s more likely to put Morgan Wallen on instead of Skrillex these days.

Speaking to The Advocate whilst sitting fireside at a campsite near Putney Dam, Tristyn said he just couldn’t find a spot on his playlist for NERO.

“Yeah I guess Swedish House Mafia ain’t the vibe out here, I’ve really been getting into Morgan Wallen instead,” said Tristyn as he crushed his ninth can of Great Northern under his boot.

“Got the fire going, some steaks on the Weber, what more could you want?”

Asked if he was ready to ditch his ‘Best of Stereosonic’ playlists forever, Tristyn said he’d probably just keep his old Nike TNs handy for the odd gym session.

“Yeah for the gym I reckon I could slip back into the house stuff but until then it’s just me, the moonlight, that ‘Chillin on a Dirt Road’ playlist and the great outdoors baby.”

More to come.
