There’s been some irrational feelings of jealousy brewing in Betoota Heights today, as a local bloke has yet again been completely overshadowed by his dog, it’s reported.
Having recently adopted a retriever mix with his girlfriend, which is one step away from getting engaged, Julian House, 32 had no idea that this simple decision would ensure that he would never cop an enthusiastic greeting ever again, should Milo be in his immediate vicinity – in fact, sometimes he’s downright ignored.
Speaking to our reporter, a sullen looking Julian says this is the first time he’s ever felt ‘invisible’ – and he really doesn’t like it.
“People don’t even say hi to me anymore, they just rush to Milo”, says Julian glumly, “it’s always ‘OMG HI MILO, AWWW MILO!”
“No one ever says ‘AWWW HI JULIAN.”
Julian says that he now just cops a monotone ‘hi’ from his mates, or sometimes doesn’t even get a greeting at all, and that strangers won’t even make eye contact with him when they spot Milo on a walk.
“No one ever asks for MY name.”
“Nobody wants to rub MY belly.”
More to come.
