While some couples have crumbled after being forced to get to know each other, one pair of lovebirds has reportedly flourished with the help of a popular drinking game…and no, not the one where you end up revealing things about yourself that you shouldn’t.
Local man Aaron Burke [34] reports that he’d been hesitant at first to suggest the idea to his wife Kelly, who was less into day drinking and more into Tupperware, but quickly found his wife was more than willing to spice things up in the bedroom – by playing a round of pub golf.
Pub golf, or bar golf, as it’s called in the ritzier parts of town, is a recreational drinking game that is similar to a pub crawl, except players follow a ‘course’ of bars which are assigned numbers or ‘Pars’. Made popular with bucks nights, pub golf is yet another creative way young Aussies are getting shitfaced drunk while simultaneously annoying the hell out of anyone within hearing distance.
If shouting inaudible gibberish and slamming drinks on the table isn’t bothersome enough, players can bring even more attention to themselves by donning full golfer attire or choosing a theme such as the young Aussie blokes’ go-to stag favourite, the iconic Hawaiian shirt.
As Aaron and Kelly were a little unprepared on the costume front, a matching set of coffee-stained white shirts has had to do.
More to come.
