A Betoota Heights woman is really shaking things up this week, by completely transforming the way she takes transport.
The licenceless 32 year old informs The Advocate that she ‘made a really big adult decision yesterday’, by choosing to take a 30 minute bus ride instead of a 10 minute Uber.
Which also meant she didn’t get that extra fifteen minute lie in – bonus responsibility!
Chatting to our reporter, who was waiting in line for a late arvo coffee, an annoyingly chatty Regan Marshall says she’s making a concerted effort to get around this whole bus thing, instead of wasting her disposable income on short Uber rides.
“It saves so much money”, says Regan, as if she’s never come to this conclusion before, “all those $12 Ubers really add up.”
“I’m so proud of myself.”
Explaining that she often made the excuse that owning a car was expensive, so she was really ‘saving money on Uber’, Regan knows deep down, that’s not the case.
“I think I could have probably bought a half decent car with the amount I’ve spent on Uber over the years”, she admits, “I hope I never have to know how much.”
“But yeah, I’m going to start making better financial decisions!”
It can be later confirmed that Regan treated herself to some Uber Eats for dinner, because she didn’t feel like cooking after doing so much running around.
More to come.
