The arrival of a new office plant has prompted a flurry of conversation in a PR agency today, as resident ‘personality hire’ Sarah Mikaelson, 32, presents her latest attempt to breathe some much needed life into her dreary 9-5 – a pot plant named ‘Garry.’
Affectionately fussing with its, no, HIS, leaves, while her colleagues crowded around to ooh and ahh over their new workmate, Sarah made a point of letting everyone know she had given the pot plant a hooman name.
“Everyone, welcome Garry!”, beamed Sarah, lifting him up high like Rafiki lifting baby Simba in the Lion King, “we love Garry.”
“Garry”, they all murmured in unison.
“Aw, I should give my plant a name”, cooed the account manager, who just made two employees wearing matching outfits take a photo together for the company’s Instagram story, “hmmm…what about Alice.”
“Hmm…no. CHERYL.”
“CHERYL”, they all cried in unison.
