A woman who found hybrid lash extensions and a facial for 40% off is alleged to have spent the entire appointment in a state of anxiety, knowing that come pay time, she’ll have to reveal she’s a class traitor scum.
Admitting that she only requires extensions for an event, so therefore has no plans on returning to the clinic, a guilty looking Brea Tarley, 28, says she fears ‘Lashes by Klara’ won’t have made much of a profit from her hour and a half appointment – if any, at all.
“I don’t know why, but it feels so deceitful?”, admits Brea, “like even though rationally I know the company agreed to do Groupon vouchers, it still feels…wrong.”
“It’s like an act of betrayal.”
Brea says this is further compounded by knowing services such as lash extensions or nails usually recoup losses with fill-in appointments, which she has no intention of doing.
“It’s like a poker scene in a movie, where the hero thinks he’s won the card game but the villain flips over their final card and it’s revealed they have a flush.”
“But it’s me, showing Groupon voucher on my phone.”
