Just as she once pieced together iconic movies via references on The Simpsons, local film buff Bek Monro (26) has officially pieced together the entire plot of the upcoming Barbie movie through the countless ‘first looks’.
Although the film is not scheduled to come out for another year and it’s literally about a doll, the internet has been alight with anticipation regarding the upcoming film sharing on set images of stars Ryan Gosling and Margot from the Goldy.
The on set images include Robbie and Gosling dressed in Kath and Kel inspired matching outfits as a variety of clothing is ultimately what Barbie and Ken are known for, along with a serious amount of career changes in the case of the former.
A mild social media user, Monro only checks her phone around 412 times a day which means during the past month she has been exposed to one standardised Hollywood act’s worth of film which led her to speculate about the plot of the film.
“I reckon Barbie is going to break up with Ken!” tweeted Monro, citing the hottest news of 2004.
“And it’s going to be a brave Hollywood film about how it’s an industry that empowers women and we should all thank them for that!”
