In an audacious display of commitment to her fitness goals, local Betoota woman Sarah Johnson, 27, brought her Saturday plans to a screeching halt, adamantly refusing to take another step until someone retrieved her forgotten Apple Watch.

The scene unfolded outside a chic cafe in Betoota’s French Quarter, where Sarah had been enjoying an almond latte with her friends. As they prepared to embark on a leisurely post-brunch stroll, Sarah suddenly froze mid-motion, panic washing over her face. Her beloved Apple Watch, integral to her daily ritual of “closing her rings,” was still sitting on its charger at home.

Renowned in her social circle for her obsession with this addictive fitness metric, Sarah who won’t even walk to the fridge without tracking her steps was relentless.

Her friends tried to reason with her, insisting that missing a few steps wouldn’t lead to the end of the world. “You can walk tomorrow!” one friend pleaded. “It’s just one day!”

But Sarah was resolute. “I’m not moving until I’ve got my watch on,” she declared, arms crossed defiantly “There’s no point otherwise.”
