One Adelaide resident doesn’t need your approval…. But she does want it.
Desperately.
Andrea Carlton, 24, works in Marketing in Perth and says she has broken free from the bad habit of needing to have other people’s approval constantly.
She says the change has saved her a ton of time and made her a much happier person.
“I’m so sick of the rest of the world feeling like they need their peers to sign off on everything they do,” Andrea Carlton, 24, told The Advocate.
“Hold on I’m going to Tweet that and see if everyone else agrees.”
Carlton feels that in this day and age, it’s so important for young women to divest themselves of the need to be liked by everyone they meet.
“It’s just so liberating,” she told reporters.
“I am my own person and I don’t care what people think about me. Don’t you think that’s great? What are you doing later? Would you consider us to be friends?”
